You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine mobile and foot rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting security-related observations and reporting irregular conditions. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agencies as directed. Operate access control and screening points as assigned, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor logs, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures. Carry authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements and Allied Universal policies, maintain weapon retention awareness, and complete required reports and documentation for any security-related incident. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
