Description POSITION OVERVIEW The Marketing & Media Content
Coordinator for the Lake County Home Hardening Program (HH) plays a
key role in capturing, creating, and sharing the story of wildfire
resilience and community protection throughout Lake County. This
position supports the Home Hardening team and program staff by
producing photography, video, and digital marketing content that
highlights home hardening projects, community impact, and program
milestones. This role is ideal for a creative, field-forward
professional who enjoys working in the community, documenting real
world projects, and translating technical work into compelling
visual stories. This position will ensure all content aligns with
NCO branding, program guidelines, and public communication goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Capture high-quality
photography and video of home hardening projects, construction
progress, before/after transformations, staff, contractors,
educational videos, and community events. Edit and produce
short-form videos, reels, project spotlights, and educational clips
for social media, outreach, and reporting. Create digital and print
marketing assets, including flyers, graphics, brochures,
infographics, and campaign visuals related to wildfire mitigation
and defensible space. Maintain an organized digital media library
of photos, videos, and creative assets. Plan, draft, and schedule
social media content for the HH Facebook. Provide marketing support
for community workshops, wildfire preparedness events, and outreach
campaigns. Oversee, edit, and ensure accuracy of HH website and
program pages. Draft content and assist in the production of HH
newsletters. Upload materials to HH SharePoint. Ensure all content
follows NCO and Lake County Home Hardening brand guidelines. Other
duties as assigned or required. ESSENTIAL WORK HABITS Align work

to confidentiality, in accordance with Agency and project policies

as well as all Agency and program safety protocols, procedures, and
policies. Maintain focus on the assigned tasks. Take pride in

and clients with respect. Represent NCO and its programs to the
community in a positive light. Dress appropriately according to
assigned job duties and responsibilities. Adapt constructively to
change. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training, and
Experience : Minimum one year of experience in a similar position
or related field (preferred). Knowledge of: Strong facilitation and
communication skills; proven ability to collaborate with diverse
organizations, community groups and community members. Must possess
excellent written and spoken English communication skills;
Spanish-English bilingual abilities highly preferred. Computer
operations as related to the duties of the position; including use
of the internet and cloud-based systems, email and spreadsheet
programs is essential; familiarity with Office 365 and Microsoft
products is preferred. Social media marketing, digital
storytelling, and visual branding. Photography and video
production/editing tools (Adobe, Canva, Premiere, Cap Cut, etc.).
Ability to: Translate technical construction and wildfire
mitigation work into engaging, easy-to-understand content. Work
respectfully with homeowners, contractors, and vulnerable
populations. Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy
and creativity. Work independently in the field and collaboratively
with program teams. Proven ability to conduct outreach and
promotion in the community. Ability to work with and provide
service to fragile and/or vulnerable clients from a variety of
economic, social and cultural backgrounds in an appropriate,
sensitive manner may be required. Ability to create visually
appealing and factually correct promotional and educational
materials. Ability and willingness to take direction and work with
supervisor to ensure priorities are correctly aligned and
accomplished as well as to work independently with minimal
supervision. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and assignments
with attention to detail and accuracy, and in a timely manner.
Necessary Special Skills & Requirements: Must be at least 18 years
of age. For work-related driving, must have a valid California
driver’s license, a verifiable good driving record, and access to a
vehicle with insurance that covers the employee as a driver OR
reliable transportation with proof of automobile insurance. WORK
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, listen, and
communicate clearly. The employee frequently is required to sit;
use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, use manual and
automatic office equipment, and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to stand; bend; reach down and
stretch overhead; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch,
or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25
pounds unassisted and may occasionally move and lift heavier
materials with assistance using ergonomic guidelines. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close and distance
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus. The ability to travel during the day and/or night,
sometimes long distance – possession of a valid California Driver’s
License and access to an insured vehicle is required. Interaction
and contact with outside agencies, vendors, funders, volunteers,
donors, and contributors is a frequent aspect of this job. The
employee will regularly use computers and computer printers,
telephones, and other similar electronic office equipment. The
environment can be noisy and includes the comings and goings of
