Install, configure, and maintain high-capacity network infrastructure for the entire corporation, including data center, retail, and eCommerce operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Skilled in managing and supporting Cisco routers and switches. Basic operating knowledge in firewalls, load-balancers, unified wireless solution, etc. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, QoS, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wireless, etc. Significant training and experience in network security practices, such as PCI. Experience in troubleshooting basic network problems.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Information Systems/Computer Science or a related field 1+ years professional experience in data network engineering Understand basic network cabling standards Experience in retail environment is desirable. CCNA certified is highly desirableNetwork Engineer responsible for working with WSI Network Engineers to support the WSI Network and perform day-to-day operational tasks.ServicesWorking as part of a team to ensure the stability, scalability, performance of WSIs IT network environment which include networks, telecommunication, IDS, firewalls, radius, sftp, log management, monitoring, security, and change management. Troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure problems. Work independently on task assignments and collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve project deliverables. Participate in development of processes, procedures, and controls in WSIs IT network environment. Maintain up-to-date documentation on existing WSIs IT network environment. Follow design guidelines from senior team members and implement solutions in a dynamic fast paced IT environment. Partner with other Technology Teams by providing escalation support and technical expertise. Participate proactively to ensure that WSIs IT network environment is performing optimally. Apply best practices on WSIs IT network environment and related processes. Communicate effectively when providing instructions on the use of IT infrastructure services or when providing assistance in resolving technical problems. Collaborate with other IT groups to review requirements for all network changes. Perform and maintain cable management in IDF and server room. Review and address network alerts and notifications Review and recommend all aspects of network and security monitoring criteria. Perform firmware/software and patch deployment activities according to IT guideline and processes.Required Skills Minimum Cisco CCNA or working toward CCNP certification is strongly recommended. In depth knowledge of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP routing protocols, including troubleshooting. Must have specific experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routers/Switches/ACE/ASA and F5 Experience in current Network monitoring and troubleshooting techniques, including Cisco Netflow, SNMP/RMON monitoring tools, packet sniffing, protocol analysis and bandwidth utilization. Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP Experience with telecommunications carriers for maintaining and troubleshooting WAN circuits. Experience with Citrix Netscalers is a plus. Disaster recovery and fault tolerance engineering experience. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Change control and process engineering skills. Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
