place.Role DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for
supporting the development of new products from the concept phase
through full-scale production. You will be involved in early-stage
engineering and manufacturing builds along with engaging suppliers
from prototype volume through high-volume production. You'll have
the chance to work with a cross-functional team including Technical
Program Managers, Systems Engineering, NPI Operations, and Advanced
Manufacturing, as well as numerous other teams to manage the risks
associated with early development builds.What you'll do:Own the
technical relationship with the Supplier to develop manufacturing
processes for custom enclosure, module structure, and auxiliary
systems (ducting, tanks, fans) to meet volume and quality
requirementsSolicit, compile, and present DFx feedback from
external suppliers' teams to Form's Mechanical Systems Engineering,
Advanced Manufacturing and NPI Operations teamsSupport Global
Supply Managers as the technical point of contact for RFx efforts
as well as developing the technical data package used for
soliciting bids from suppliers.Fulfill the role of a project
manager, mentoring suppliers to adhere to industrialization
timelines and updating internal program management teams on
supplier progressMotivate suppliers to stay on - schedule during
the initial Start of Production (SOP), while also supervising
supplier resources to guarantee Overall Equipment Effectiveness
(OEE) aligns with Form Energy targetsLead drawing reviews to ensure
proper GD&T practices are followed and all necessary callouts
and notes are presentWhat You'll Bring: -BS degree in mechanical/
manufacturing engineering or related field7+ years of experience in
New Product Introduction (NPI) -Experience with structural welding
(AWS D1.1) and developing robotic welding processes in a
high-volume manufacturing environment.Strong experience in
GD&T, technical data management, and change management with
external suppliers.Experience with sheet metal panel forming and
panel assembly for large-scale welded assemblies (ex. 40' shipping
container).Experience with the design and building of custom
enclosures for energy storage systems that include interfaces for
auxiliary systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical
