Director of Finance - National Sales/Region & Customer
Consolidation - Remote Purpose: This position will be the financial
lead and key business partner for the National Sales Team, as well
as the lead for consolidation activities of all regions. The main
objective of this role is to provide the National Sales Team with a
financial expert who understands their unique operational and
strategic needs and can advocate and support their objectives
within and outside of finance, and in addition, will also be
responsible for supporting the VP of Region FP&A with the
consolidation of region activities, helping to lead, implement,
track and report on activities and initiatives that all UNFI
regions are responsible for. This position will also be responsible
for strategic financial planning, reporting and business analytics,
with a key role in supporting UNFI's growth, profitability, and
overall company objectives. Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizing and developing financial models to assist top line
growth while meeting profit objectives.
- Analyze profit and loss statements, sales growth initiatives
and provide recommendations.
- Develop analytical tools that can be used to drive business
decision making.
- Lead, execute and own the annual budget process. This includes
identifying key budget drivers, modelling proposed budget
scenarios, and partnering with the business to ensure there is
alignment, agreement and that the budget truly represents company
objectives.
- Obtain an in depth understanding and partner with the business
to stay abreast of risk and opportunities for translation to
budgets, forecasts, analysis, etc.
- Support the weekly forecast process by partnering with all
stakeholders in delivering timely and accurate forecasts. -
- Analyze, document and communicate variations between actual
results and budget/forecast/prior year/etc as needed.
- Partner with the Regions to identify key drivers impacting
performance and participate in the development and execution of
processes and/or plans to improve issues within the business.
- Assist Regions in executing strategic plans as applicable in
support of the company's short and long-term goals.
- Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths,
weaknesses, and opportunities. Facilitate creation of action plans
to close gaps on main opportunities.
- Analyze and implement strategic initiatives and provide
recommendations to the VP of Regional FP&A.
- Partner with Customer Profitability FP&A in reviewing the
performance and margin on key customers. Make recommendations for
improvement to margin based on findings.

Requirements: Education/ Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analytical leadership
position.
- Proven success in leading and delivering solutions to complex
business opportunities. Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Outstanding analytical skills (numerical, verbal), as well as
excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen as well as financial modeling
experience.
- Previous Accounting experience a strong advantage.
- Must be self-driven and very motivated.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and
working with constantly changing priorities.
- Leads and directs the work of others across the company,
without direct organizational line of authority.
- Strong administrative, organizational and relationship
skills.
- Position also requires strong interpersonal skills, discretion,
diplomacy, and judgment.
- Strong teamwork ethic, positive proactive flexible attitude
ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints as well as
handle a number of tasks simultaneously required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and
Word and related software applications. Physical

- Some travel may be required.
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled at-home or
office environment.
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer
terminal.

- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other

- Pay Range: $114,300 - 220,500 Annually ($54.95 - 106.01
Hourly)

Compensation: UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate
(or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors,
