Family and Cosmetic General DentistryFront Office Manager/AdministratorWe are seeking a true professional dental expert that has an outgoing, welcoming personality in person and by phone. Appearance and presentation matter as you will be the face of the practice, representing our values and beliefs. We want patients to remember you and ask for you by name because you quickly established rapport and gained patient trust and confidence. They trust you because they leave with a good feeling and zero confusion.The dentist does not diagnose based on what insurance will cover, but what is best for the patient. We need a team member that can support this diagnosis so patients receive the quality care that they want, need and deserve. The professional hired must have a high case acceptance rate and the ability to collect payment prior to making appointments in the schedule. Experience with case presentation and providing customized patient benefit statements is expected. We provide comprehensive patient care to patients of all ages and we are not a one-tooth-at-a-time clinic.The position is full time with benefits including: medical insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick/safe time, retirement: 401K with 4% match safe harbor, bonus: profit sharing, continuing education and dental benefits for employees and family. If you come to visit our office, team members and patients both consider the dentist to be generous and fair.This position is not an office manager/HR position where you will be evaluating other employees' performance.We need a loyal, hard-working professional that can:1. Greet patients as if their families are a friends walking into your home.2. Accurately obtain new patients' detailed insurance information and enter it correctly to prevent future miscommunications or billing issues.3. Have top-notch computer skills (use every resource possible online rather than waiting on the phone or fax). Be able to quickly enter diagnosed treatment and obtain accurate insurance estimates on the spot.4. Be very organized, prepared and forward thinking (especially for patients that already have treatment plans), to prevent confusion upon patient check out.5. Have at least three years of lead front office in a general dentistry front office6. Prepare and start off morning meeting7. Have expert phone skills with current patients and convert email, text and phone inquiries into scheduled new patients, which know what to expect the day of the new patient exam. A team member that does not put up roadblocks to care, is what we are looking for.8. Be well versed teeth numbers, CDT codes and sequence of appointments for multi-appointment procedures. Previous back office experience preferred for the details and appt times required in order to create an ideal, profitable schedule.9. Be able to answer patient questions about procedures/post-operative questions. Have patients leave scheduled with confidence that the front and back office explained dental treatment in the same way to patients and parents of pediatric patients. Ideally these postoperative conversations can be handled during the workweek, so the patients aren't calling the doctor throughout the weekend.10. Know ADA/CDT codes that insurances will pay and submit claims electronically with appropriate attachments (xrays and photos).11. Take ownership of the schedule, meeting our daily and monthly production goals. Put the schedule as your number one priority if it is not full the day prior.12. Immediately collect on outstanding claims and patient balances.13. Manage referred patients seeing specialists and incoming reports.14. For patients with insurance, when the EOB comes back, the patient balance should be zero. Sending a patient a bill is uncommon in this practice because we can usually estimate copays correctly. Asking the dentist to adjust off a balance frequently because you provided an inaccurate estimate during your treatment consultation with the patient (asking dentist to "write it off") is not going to be acceptable on a regular basis.Please send a RESUME AND COVER LETTER about your experience if you are a great fit for our practice.
