Information $2,877 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience in
Labor and Delivery, Circulating Cesarean Sections, Recoveries, and
Postpartum. Desired experience with level 1 nursery and lactation
is a plus. License: California Registered Nurse License
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Neonatal Resuscitation
Provider (NRP) Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: Ability to
work in all areas of Labor and Delivery. Demonstrated competence
regarding nursing theories, concepts, and practices. Working
knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Time
management and organizational skills. Ability to communicate
effectively with diverse audiences. Critical thinking skills to
identify and solve routine or complex problems. Description: This
position involves providing care to women during labor and
delivery. The ideal candidate supports physiologic birth with a low
Cesarean and epidural rate. The unit handles approximately 1300
births per year. Candidates should be comfortable with water labor
and water births, birth slings, and intermittent monitoring. There
is a commitment to couplet care and support in a level 1 nursery
setting. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple
interventions in a dynamic environment. Building collaborative
relationships with peers and healthcare providers is essential.
Ensuring patient privacy and protected health information is a
priority. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours based
on staffing needs. Experience with specific charting, particularly
