Job Description Job Description Flexible Per Diem Registered Nurse Opportunity This role is for a per diem Registered Nurse (RN) at our organization, offering flexible scheduling across various facilities. You will provide direct patient care in specialties including Medical-Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health. Essential responsibilities include ensuring patient confidentiality, collaborating with other departments for coordinated care, and upholding professional nursing standards. Overview: Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver patient care while maintaining accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients. You will assess the effectiveness of care from other caregivers and coordinate patient care with various departments. Position Details: Facility: Mercy Perry Department: GIG Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flexible/Float Shift: Various shifts available BeAMercyNurse Incentives: $40/hour plus Variable Shift Incentive W-2 Employee status Minimum of 12 hours required every 90 days Maximum of 30 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday) Shifts available in 4, 8, or 12-hour formats Variable Shift Incentives offered Work when and where you prefer! Position Overview: Are you looking for a flexible RN position with incentives? You can choose between day or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift requirements. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program entails a commitment to scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and being adaptable to last-minute shift cancellations. Please note that this program does not guarantee shift hours and will be prioritized for cancellations. Departments Seeking GIG RNs: Behavioral Health Emergency Department Intensive Care Unit Medical-Surgical Women's Health (Labor & Delivery, Mother & Baby) Facilities/Locations: Mercy St. Louis - St. Louis, MO Mercy Jefferson - Festus, MO Mercy South - South St. Louis County, MO Mercy Washington - Washington, MO Mercy Lincoln - Troy, MO Mercy Perry - Perryville, MO Mercy Southeast - Cape Girardeau, MO Mercy Stoddard - Dexter, MO Qualifications: Required Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure: It is the candidate's responsibility to obtain and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment, adhering to all state board of nursing requirements. Experience: A minimum of one year of recent bedside RN experience is required for Medical-Surgical roles. For other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.), at least two years of recent, specialty-specific bedside RN experience is necessary. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Epic software. Certifications: For Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health - BLS certification is required. For Critical Care - BLS and ACLS certifications are required. For Emergency Department - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Additional certifications may be necessary after employment begins. Physical Requirements: The role involves regularly pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
