Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Santa Rosa,
California, 95405! Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 -
07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery
experience required License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have:
Labor and postpartum experience is required. Strong precepting
skills are a plus. Description: 1st time travelers are welcome.
Ratios are 1:3. The facility does allow 4x12 shifts upon request.
Travelers may need to float between like units. Locals are not
accepted. RTO must be included at the time of submission. The
facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period. The
total staffed beds of the facility is 277. RNs must wear royal blue
or navy blue scrubs. Pediatric RNs wear a pediatric-friendly top
and royal or navy blue bottom. All other departments have scrubs
provided. Charting is done using a specific system. The expected
number of births per month is 200-300. Services include high-risk
antepartum, LDRP, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of
intrauterine pressure catheters. The clinician must have experience
with maintaining central lines, anticoagulation therapy,
antihypertensives, and insulin drips. It is also important that the
candidate has experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and
circulating for C-sections. Additional skills required include
performing sterile vaginal exams and understanding isolation
precautions. The population served includes both neonates and
adults. The daily census in the unit is 12 with 10 rooms and beds
available. Travelers may be expected to work during major holidays.
References are required for submission, covering at least one year
of experience in a comparable specialty. Travelers may float
between facilities as needed. Cell phones and communication devices
may be provided for work-related use. The facility recommends
travelers explore housing options in the area, as availability may
be limited. Modules are completed pre-start and on an annual basis.
