Job Description:

Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, the SR. Human Resources Business Partner designs, plans, and implements the company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. They are responsible for maintaining good communication and positive relationships to guide managers and employees throughout the performance management and goal setting processes; contract administration and interpretation; and, guidance/coordination of related management activities and resolutions. The SR. Human Resources Business Partner supervises a team of professional Human Resources staff providing direct service to employees and management and serves as a key contributor to development and maintenance of comprehensive Human Resources policies and strategies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
Coach and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
Collaborate with training department to develop and manage compliance trainings for managers and employees. Conduct such trainings.
Represents organization in contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations.
Collaborates with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in the performance management processes with employees.
Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes.
Maintain knowledge on all unemployment appeals and participate in various company hearings and attend training seminars and resolve all issues faced by employees.
Coordinate with employees and management to resolve all issues and recommend disciplinary action if required and participate in various progressive disciplinary meetings.
Perform investigation on various employee activities and resolve all issues and provide support to all organization activities and facilitate efficient quality services in all programs and manage communication with all employees.
Collaborate and perform various review for boards and manage all discrimination complaints and develop tools to mitigate all risks.
Oversee and direct the HR Business Partners
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of five years' experience in human resources, three of which must have been in a responsible employee relations role.
One to three years supervisory experience.
Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of employee and labor relations principles, best practices, labor regulations, and unions.
Experience delivering training to groups and facilitating teams.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.

Computer Skills: Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments. Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
