Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client in Rocklin, CA is looking for a System Engineer for stores systems equipment, hardware, and installations.

Summary:
The systems administrators will be responsible for holiday register installs, relocating of existing POS systems to the front doors and installs of new workstations in some stores.

Duties:

• System Engineer will design and support data networks for data centers, corporate facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, call centers, and eCommerce environment
  
• Design, develop, implement, and support network solutions for IT projects
  
• Receives and understands completed process designs relevant to the work they are expected to carry out
  
• Participates in, requirements gathering for projects and process work driven by Systems Administration
  
• Leads or participates, in administrative installation and configuration activities
  
• Follows and maintains procedures and system documentation
  
• Performs routine systems resource optimization activities
  
• Performs routine updates supporting new requirements and maintaining systems currency
  
• Assists in implementing resource management and monitoring methods and tools
  
• Works on many phases of a project
  
• Monitors and administers system access and resources
  
• Participates in systems management, and Security Compliance activities
  
• Supports resolution of production incident
  
• Works on escalations coming from Service Operations
  
• Maintains System Runbooks
  
• Provides work breakdown planning and estimates
  
• Administer all elements in assigned area
  
• Identifies own dependences and problems
  
• Follows prescribed process, able to observe deviations from process and suggest course corrections
  
• Interacts with team members, within the department, or business users
  
• Works with contract resources and may provide guidance
  
• Sphere of influence is self and other Systems Admins
  
• Shares discoveries and best practices
  Job Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive knowledge of windows systems and some experience with SCCM, experience with cisco switches, and the ability to troubleshoot or establish network connectivity
    
  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
    
  • Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
