Brief Job Description: The Global Functional Expert (GFE) Cloud Accounting Systems Analyst would support the Global Controllers Organization with processes, functional knowledge and system expertise concerning operational execution of the end-to-end processes that impact Oracle's General Ledger and Cloud Framework Modules. Department Description: The Global Controller Organization (GCO) team is a key part of Oracle's World Class Finance organization. This progressive and innovative team comprises a dynamic group of finance professionals responsible for Oracle's US GAAP external reporting, external statutory reporting, US & local compliance and fiduciary responsibilities, as well as mergers and acquisitions. The Global Process Organization (GPO) team this role resides in is tasked with the ownership of all systems and business process related to the general ledger that are in support of either the Global Controllers Organization, Global Accounting Controllers or Consolidation Controllers Group. Detailed Job Description: The GFE Cloud Accounting Systems Analyst is a key participant to ensure Oracle's financial revenue reporting is accurate and complete, as transacted though end-to-end systems. Job duties are varied, complex and require significant independent judgment. Work is both an individual contributor and as a team member and is both routine and non-routine in nature. Work is complex involving the application of technical / business skills in area of specialization. Candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills' in partnering with other internal groups. Strong spreadsheet skills and familiarity with Oracle Financials are essential. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and a self-starter who can identify areas of improvement and drive results. The individual hired will work closely with cross-functional business teams and GPO teams to gain a solid understanding of the system processes and support the Controllers Organization as it relates to system applications. Further details are below: * Support global corporate initiatives ensuring the end-to-end process and policies align with US GAAP and Oracle Corporate Accounting Policies. * Collaborate and support the Global Controller Organization (GCO), Global Accounting Organization (GAO) and Cross-functional teams to include Revenue Recognition, Global Business Finance, Accounts Receivable, and other internal teams. * Triage production tickets concerning issues with General Ledger & Cloud Framework systems. Work with IT to prioritize and progress resolution of system issues. * Provide solution review guidance and project initiatives with Internal IT & Cloud Framework teams. * Ensure that IT has properly designed and tested the system and interfaces with other key Oracle modules prior to go-live. * Conduct testing for patching and upgrades related to the General Ledger module, Cloud Framework and other key Oracle modules. * Participate in development of reporting to support analysis & financial reporting for the Global Controllers Organization using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) * Standardize and document the end-to-end processes and policies and train the workforce to properly execute against the latest requirements. * Participate in identification and implementation of systems-based solutions to emerging problems caused by changing business requirements. * Support month-end and quarter-end activities, specifically related to system issues that arise. Preferred Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent * 5 + years of finance/accounting experience -- supporting accounting systems a plus * General Ledger and Revenue Accounting experience * Report analysis experience - Business Intelligence report writing a plus * Knowledge and experience of ERP systems to assist with the analysis of data and presentation of information is essential. Prior experience with Oracle's ERP Experience and related applications experience desirable. * Ability to understand complex end-to-end business flows, system touch points and create standard operating procedures * Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and build strong relationships across geographies * Strong oral and written communication skills; including process documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, task and project management, and organizational skills * Ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team environment, and with cross-functional peers to support deadlines. * Dynamic, innovative & problem resolution focused. Ability to understand complex problems and propose solutions. Ability to effectively partner with IT to upgrade systems to meet business, US GAAP and statutory accounting requirements Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. As a member of the finance division, you will assist in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Maintain and implement general accounting systems. Conduct account reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making. Develop and prepare financial reports including profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Review and analyze inter-company transactions. Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes. May participate in special projects. Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong analytical, prioritization and communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is essential. Familiarity with Oracle Financials is essential. 5 years accounting experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent. Some positions need you to be bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
