year in specialty License: Valid state nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: - 1 year of previous
pediatric nursing experience - First-timers accepted - Ability to
float within skill set Description: This position requires a
registered nurse specializing in pediatrics. Applicants must have
at least one year of experience in pediatric nursing. Nurses will
be expected to float between like units as needed. Local candidates
are accepted. Travelers may be required to work two out of three
major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. The
patient-to-nurse ratio will be 4:1. Charting will be done using a
computerized documentation system. Candidates should have skills in
managing dysrhythmias, central line care, and monitoring
chemotherapy patients. Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge are
essential. The unit provides care for neonates, infants, and
pediatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory
services, phlebotomy, and social services. Candidates must have
supervisory references from recent employment in a comparable
specialty. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility and
adaptability in their nursing practice. All required certifications
should be current and valid upon submission. Requirements Required
